Ingredients:
1 Egg
1/2 Cup water or tomato juice
1 1/2 Pound chopped beef
1 Cup soft bread crumbs
2 Teaspoons salt
1/8 Teaspoon pepper
4 Slices bacon
Special tools/utensils needed:
Baking dish or bread pan
Directions:
Grease a baking dish or bread pan with a bit of bacon. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a mixing bowl beat the egg. Add the water or tomatoes and mix.
Add remaining ingredients: beef, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Shape the mixture and place in a loaf pan. Put slices of bacon on top of loaf.
Bake for 35-45 minutes. Serve hot.
