Ingredients:
3 Cups sugar, sifted
2 Sticks butter, softened
3 Cups flour, sifted
1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Cup sour cream
6 Large eggs
1 Teaspoon vanilla flavor
1 Teaspoon almond flavor
Oil or baking spray and flour to grease and flour the baking pan
Special Tools/Equipment: Stand mixer, flour sifter, tube pan
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325℉ and grease and flour cake pan.
In a bowl using the stand mixer, cream butter and sugar together.
Combine baking soda and flour and add alternate layers of flour and sour cream to the butter and sugar mixture
Add eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla and almond flavoring.
Pour mixture into the floured cake pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Cool for 15 minutes and remove from the pan by running a flat knife around the edges of the pan and inverting onto a cooling rack.
