Sweet Potato Casserole

Description: This recipe has a nutty crumb topping instead of the classic marshmallows. Makes for a crunchy contrast to the creamy and soft mashed sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes have sugar, vanilla, butter, and eggs for a deep rich flavor. This recipe is a holiday staple.

Ingredients:
Potatoes:
1/2 stick butter, melted
3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 eggs, well beaten
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
Topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Mix the butter, sweet potatoes, milk, sugar, vanilla, eggs, and cinnamon in a bowl.
In a separate bowl mix the flour, brown sugar, butter and pecans for the topping.
Put the sweet potato mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle with mixed topping.
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
