Rosa's Sausages

Description: This is a very versatile dish and your house will smell heavenly. You can prepare to eat immediately as a meal/tailgater, freeze extras to use in spaghetti sauce, cut up for Hors  D'oeuvres, etc.  I usually buy the sausages at Costco, 20 - 24 to a package.

Total Time: 2 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Italian sausages, Costco 20 -24/package

Olive oil

Red wine - enough to cover bottom but not have sausages swimming; ~1/3 bottle

1 Bell pepper, coarsely chopped

1 Onion, coarsely chopped

 

Buns

 

Special tools/utensils needed:

9" x 13" casserole dish

 

Directions: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F


1. Lightly oil the sausages with olive oil. Place in a 9" x 13" casserole dish. Bake uncovered 1 hour.

2. Turn over. Bake 1/2 hour.

3. Turn over. Add red wine, bell peppers and onions. Bake 15 minutes.

4. Turn over. Bake 15 minutes.

5. Enjoy!
