8 slices day-old bread, cubed

1/4 cup butter

2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cups cooked ham, diced

4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour

8 eggs

2 1/2 cups milk

2 Tablespoons prepared mustard

1 Teaspoon salt
