Cranberry Salad

Description: A family tradition for cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving.

Ingredients:
1 Medium orange peel
3 - 4 Medium oranges, peeled
1 Medium Granny Smith apple, with peel, cored
2 - 3 Medium Honeycrisp apples, with peel, cored
1 (12 ounce) Package cranberries, raw
1 (20 ounce) Can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 Cups sugar (or sweeten to taste)
2 Cups boiling water
2 (3 ounce) Packages Jello (strawberry or raspberry)
Special tools/utensils needed: Food Processor, apple corer, 11x9 deep baking pan
Directions:
Using food processor :
Grind the peel from one orange very fine to consistency of coarse salt
Pulse the orange to cut into pieces. Be careful not to overprocess or you will have juice
Finely chop the apples
Finely chop the cranberries
Put the orange peel, oranges, apples, cranberries, crushed pineapple, and sugar in a 11 x 9-inch pan. Stir to mix well
Use boiling water to dissolve jello and then add to the pan. Stir to mix
Refrigerate overnight to allow to set.
