Turkey Burgers

Description: A light alternative to traditional hamburgers. Add turkey bacon on top for extra flavor. Goes great with sweet potato fries

Ingredients:
16 ounces ground turkey
4 Tablespoons scallions, minced
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 Tablespoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, cut into small cubes
turkey bacon (optional, but encouraged)
Special tools/utensils needed:
outdoor grill
Directions:
Preheat the grill on medium heat for 10 min
Cook the turkey bacon, if used, per package directions.
Combine the turkey, scallions, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, pepper, and Monterey Jack cheese in a large bowl. Mix well.
Form turkey mixture into 1/4 pound patties.
Place on the grill. Cook for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes or until cooked through. As with all poultry, the burgers are done when the internal spot temperature is 165F. Top with turkey bacon. Enjoy!
