Notes: To successfully frost this cake, buck your cake-making instincts, and pour frosting while the cake is hot.
Ingredients:
1 (15.25 ounce) box Fudge cake mix
1 (21 ounce) can Cherry pie filling
1 teaspoon Almond extract
1 cup Sugar
5 tablespoons Margarine or Salted butter
1/3 cup Milk
12 ounces Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350* F. Grease and flour a 9”x13” baking pan and set aside.
Combine cake mix, pie filling, and almond extract in a medium mixing bowl. Do not add eggs, oil, or water per the cake mix instructions. Stir by hand to mix well until lumps are removed.
Pour into a greased pan, and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake is removed clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting. In a medium saucepan, bring sugar, margarine or butter, and milk to a boil. Remove from heat, and stir in chocolate chips.
Transfer cake from the baking pan to a serving dish, and pour frosting over the cake.
