Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies

Notes: For best results, rest cookie dough in fridge for up to 2 hours before baking. Legend had it that a diner at Neiman Marcus’s food hall so enjoyed her chocolate chip cookie that she asked for the recipe. “Two fifty,” she was told. She agreed, and when she received the bill for $250, the legendary cookie was born. This is that recipe!
Ingredients:
2 cups Butter
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Brown sugar
4 Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
4 cups All-purpose flour
5 cups Rolled Oatmeal, pulsed finely in a blender
1 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking powder
2 teaspoons Baking soda
24 ounces Chocolate chips
1 (8 ounce) Hershey bar, grated
3 cups Nuts, chopped
Special Tools/Utensils Needed:
Hand mixer or stand mixer (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375* F.
In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and both sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, and beat until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
Mix dry ingredients into wet in small batches, and mix until fully incorporated. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and nuts.
Roll into 1” balls, and place two inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes, and cool to a wire rack.
