Description: Homemade pizza is always a winner!
Prep time: 60-90 minutes
Total time: 2 hours
Servings: 2 pizza crusts
Difficulty rating: 1
Ingredients:
1 envelope of Yeast
1 cup Water, warmed
1 teaspoon Salt
2 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
2 tablespoons of Vegetable or olive oil
1 tablespoon softened Butter for coating mixing bowl
desired pizza toppings
Special tools/utensils needed:
Mixing bowl, hand/stand mixer, tea towel, 2 pizza pans
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, sprinkle yeast in warm water and mix until dissolved.
Add oil, salt, and half of the flour, mixing well.
Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough.
Knead for 10 minutes on a floured counter.
Grease mixing bowl with softened butter and add dough.
Cover with a tea towel and let rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
After rising, divide dough in half and place each on a pizza pan, spreading dough out with your hands and fingers until it's the size of your pan.
Pre-bake the crust in a 350 degree oven for 6 to 8 minutes.
Remove from the oven, add sauce (see Pizza Sauce Recipe), and toppings.
Return to the oven and bake until cheese is melted, approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
